< ![if !supportLists] >· < ![endif] >Dr. Sheila Colla is a conservation biologist who has been working on at-risk pollinator conservation in North America for more than a decade. This talk will include lessons learned with respect to public engagement and policy development. Dr Colla will share reflections on the evolution of pollinator conservation discourse within and outside of academia. The role of power dynamics, lobbying and worldview in bee decline policy and initiatives will be discussed. The seminar will discuss Finding Flowers, an ongoing research project which aims to combine ecology and art to co-produce knowledge to better our understanding of relationships between plants, food, humans, land and insects.
