Audouin’s night-stalking tiger beetle, Omus audouini (Coleoptera: Carabidae), has a limited distribution in Canada restricted to sites at Boundary Bay in Delta, BC, Victoria, BC and the Saanich peninsula. As a result, this beetle was granted COSEWIC threatened status in 2013. O. audouini populations at Boundary Bay are located in upper salt marsh plant communities predominated by Douglas Aster (Symphyotrichum subspicatum (Asteraceae)). Pitfall trapping was conducted in 2021 at eleven sites across the bay where Douglas Aster was detected. O. audouini was captured at eight of these eleven sites. Results are presented regarding the presence of O. audouini populations and associations with plant communities and communities of potential prey species. These data contribute to understanding of habitat requirements of O. audouini and may inform conservation efforts for this species at risk.
