Being in love with food his whole life, Ricardo Correa, joined the family business, in 2003, and became Procurement Manager. Intrigued with quality ingredients and making chefs happy, he made it possible for them to acquire outstanding products locally. From attending trade events like IBIE and numerous NRA Shows, he further thrived in his position and was able to become COO. Located in Mexico's third largest city, Correa embraced the predominately fine dining environment and started servicing the trendiest and finest restaurants in the country.
In 2012, Correa Materias Primas, won the US Commercial Service Star Partner Award for outstanding relationships with US companies. Correa went on to expand his business and went on to make a name for himself inside the baking and restaurant supply industry. With his roots lying in Mexico, he travels to attend trade shows and meet with his peers and industry leaders. Loving the business, he has further expanded from ingredients, utensils and equipment to coaching and training.
During the COVID19 pandemic, the containment measures drastically impacted the everyday flow from producers and manufacturers to consumers. Many lessons were learned, Correa Materias Primas used the momentum of the pandemic as an opportunity to modify, strengthen, and create a new supply chain that can withstand new obstacles.
