Mark Economou has been the Public Information Manager for the Boca Raton Police Department since 2008. Mark served as the Southeast region chair for the PIO section of the IACP and PIO chair for the Regional Domestic Security Task Force in South Florida for more than eight years. His TV, radio, and public relations background spans nearly 20 years. He has presented to several police organizations around the country on the role and strategy of the Public Information Officer and the use of social media. Economou has taken 12 FEMA PIO certification classes all the way through their advance PIO certification.
