Research Assistant
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
As a research assistant in the Boron Lab, I study membrane proteins involved in sensing extracellular CO2/HCO3 and conducting ions and gases across plasma membranes. My work mainly involves using ion-selective microelectrodes to measure the surface pH of Xenopus oocytes heterologously expressing our proteins of interest. I recently graduated with high honors from Kenyon College, where I studied the structure-function of insect cation-chloride cotransporters with Dr. Chris Gillen.
