Latifa Bulbul is a current Ph.D. candidate at UNSW, Department of Pharmacology, School of Medical Science, Australia. She received a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and a Master of Pharmaceutical Science degree from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Before commencing her Ph.D., she devoted several years to teaching and research. The current focus of her research is to investigate the effects of respiratory stressors (long-term hypercapnia, cigarette smoke) on the central chemoreceptor regions that regulate breathing. To explore this, she is applying molecular biology and proteomic techniques.
