Kent MacLaughlin earned a MS in Exercise Physiology and is currently a Physiology PhD student in the Eldridge Lab at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He served as the Safety Director for the Diving Physiology program at the University of Wisconsin and currently oversees clinical operations at Oxygen Clinics of Wisconsin, a private Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy provider in Southern Wisconsin. Mr. MacLaughlin trained in Hyperbarics at Hyperbarics International with Dick Rutkowski in 2005. Since that time, Mr. MacLaughlin has been involved with over 14000 hours of HBOT for many conditions including osteo and soft tissue radionecrosis, diabetic wound healing, idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and Decompression Sickness. Mr. MacLaughlin’s undergraduate degree is in Public Administration and he has served as the Engineering managere for Madison United Hospital Laundry and also as the Director of Communications and Warning for the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs. While there he received a commendation from Rear Admiral Webber of NORAD and USNORTHCOM for designing and implementing a digital and radio communications exercise including active military and reserve, civilian police, fire, rescue and amateur operators. Maclaughlin loves speed skating and cycling, he started his career as a master frame builder for TREK Bicycles in his hometown of Waterloo WI.
