Julia Gardner is a third year undergraudate student at Duke University, where she studies chemistry and Chinese. At Duke, Julia is a member of the Sudarshan Rajagopal laboratory, where she examines the mechanisms and signaling consequences of 'biased agonism' at G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Julia also recieved a National Science Foundation grant toparticipate in the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Biodesign (B3) at the City College of New York. In this position, Julia worked in the Kevin Gardner laboratory at the Advanced Science Reserach Center, studying the role of bacterial histidine kinases in environmental sensing.
