Colten Eberhard received his B.S. in Chemistry in Spring 2017 from the George Washington University. During his undergraduate studies he worked under Dr. Claire Besson synthesizing magnetic complexes for potential use in quantum bits. Following graduation, he became a postbaccalaureate fellow in Dr. William Pavan's laboratory in the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health. He earned an “Outstanding Poster Award” for his work evaluating the genetic regulation of pigmentation in mouse and zebrafish. Colten is currently a third year PhD student in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Under the mentorship of Dr. Namandjé Bumpus, he is studying the impact of naturally occurring mutations on drug metabolism using in vitro and in vivo models.
