Research Technician
Purdue University
My name is Kimaya Bakhle and I am a recent graduate of the Purdue University Biochemistry program. During my undergraduate studies, I studied the role of two histone methyltransferases, Set1 and Set2, and the Clock-Cycle transciption factor complex in age-related eye disease, using Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. Since graduating, I have been working on research in the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. I investigated the therapeutic efficacy of compounds to treat brain metastases of non-small cell lung cancer using a mouse model. I will be starting veterinary school this fall and am excited to pursue a career as a veterinary scientist!
