Ilina L.A., Ph.D., author of more than 150 scientific papers, incl. monographs, patents, has considerable experience in studying the microbiomes of the gastrointestinal tract of farm animals (reindeer and other ruminants, poultry, pigs, rainbow trout, mice, rats), feed for farm animals (silage, hay, compound feed, etc.). Under the leadership of Ilina L.A. techniques for molecular biological studies of animal microbiota, methods for mathematical and statistical processing of results obtained using metagenomic methods of NGS sequencing, T-RFLP and real-time PCR have been developed and successfully applied.
For the first time in Russia, the expression of genes associated with the resistance of the body in the tissues of the intestines and oviducts of laying hens was optimized and analyzed.
Ilina L.A. is actively conducting research in the direction of evaluating the effectiveness of various drugs (feed antibiotics, probiotics, feed enzymes, etc.) that affect the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract, the health and productivity of a number of farm animals, including ruminants, poultry.
The knowledge gained formed the basis for the development of a series of feed additives and technologies that affect the productivity and health of farm animals and birds.
