What is this mysterious third component of faculty life called Service? And why do I keep hearing about how service "took over my life?" Are there ways to do service work that actually feel good and work for me?
If you've asked yourself any of these questions, then you are in the perfect position to engage in a service-related conversation with your anatomist colleagues over lunch. In this session, we'll break down different types of service work that happen at Universities, talk about how those different jobs correspond to different values and working styles, and share hard-won wisdom about how to find the right service roles and how to say no to the wrong ones.
First-come first serve. Box lunch provided to the first 50 attendees.
