Kualoa Ranch's agritourism operation welcomes ~1 million visitors per year to enjoy its farm tours, zipline, ATV rides, and volunteer opportunities and has hosted 300+ TV & movie filmings including famous films like Jurassic Park. Stephanie originally grew up in Maryland and studied Environmental Studies & International Development at Tulane University where she focused on environmental economics and conservation in international countries. She studied abroad in Accra, Ghana as well as Costa Rica and has since traveled to 27 countries and spent time teaching English in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During her travels, she picked up a love of scuba diving. Her love of scuba diving is what initially enticed her to Hawai'i but her love of the land is what made her stay. Since then, she has worked hand-in-hand with Hawai'i farmers & ranchers on conservation planning, soil health, marketing, agritourism, and more. Her time at Kualoa has also included the formation of an all-local grocery store helping to connect visitors & residents in Hawai'i with the ranch to enhance community development and local food security. Stephanie also serves as a board member of the Sustainable Tourism Association of Hawai'i helping other Hawai'i tour operators enhance their tourism operations to include sustainable tourism values. When she's not working, she's daydreaming of her next trip or testing out recipes in the kitchen.
