Adam Laytin is a emergency physician and intensivist, an assistant professor in the departments of Anesthesia & Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the vice-chair of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine's Critical Care Special Interest Group. His research addresses the burden of medical emergencies, critical illness and trauma in low- and middle-income countries to inform quality improvement and capacity building initiatives.
