Dr. Amber Sabbatini is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Systems and Population Health at the University of Washington. Dr. Sabbatini completed her emergency medicine training at the University of Chicago, a research fellowship at the University of Michigan in health services research. She has been on faculty at the University of Washington since 2014 where she also completed an AHRQ K12 in patient centered outcomes research. Dr. Sabbatini specializes in conducting policy-relevant research using large administrative datasets to understand how the delivery of hospital care affects patient outcomes, resource utilization, and quality. She has received multiple federal and foundation grants, including current funding from the NIH to studying the impacts of payment policies and delivery system reforms on preventable ED visits and hospital admissions.
