Nancy D. Harada, PhD, PT is a health services researcher and program evaluator in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA), Washington, DC. Dr. Harada has worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs since 1991, where she has held positions of Associate Director of Education at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and principal investigator at the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center. From 2014-2019 Dr. Harada served as the National Evaluation Manager for the OAA-funded Centers of Excellence in Primary Care Education which focused on the development of interprofessional curricula to teach health professions trainees to work in and lead interprofessional teams within VA primary care settings. Most recently, Dr. Harada has applied her expertise in health services research and education to the field of geographic information systems where she has developed geo-mapping applications to promote VA academic affiliations with minority serving institutions. Dr. Harada received her PhD in Health Services Research from the School of Public Health, University of California Los Angeles, MPA from the School of Public Administration, University of Southern California, and BS in Physical Therapy. She is Adjunct Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles.
