Health Sciences Librarian
University of Manitoba, Manitoba, Canada
Since beginning work as a health sciences librarian over 10 years ago, Me-Linh has supported researchers in government, clinical, and academic environments with various forms of knowledge synthesis. From looking at the most effective products to ensure a food-safe surface, examining the efficacy of speed limits on reducing brain injuries, or the use of medical cannabis in clinical trials of children she enjoys working with teams on making evidence-based and impactful change (however small or large) in the healthcare system. In recent years, seeing the growth in requests from non-health colleagues she began to be interested in librarian support of this type of research outside of health. She is the PI on a CARL-funded research project to benchmark librarian support of SRs in the science, humanities, and social sciences.
