Dr. Meghan Donovan completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Florida State University in 2020, and she is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC) . Dr. Donovan’s doctoral work focused on effects of social isolation and probiotic intake on the gut-immune-brain axis and behaviors in socially monogamous prairie voles. She joined the Rocky Mountain MIRECC as a Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2020. Her primary research goal is to better understand how the gut-immune-brain axis is involved in psychiatric disorders. Dr. Donovan is particularly interested in how environmental, psychosocial, and lifestyle factors can shape mental health outcomes.
