Leadership Hive | Connection, Compassion & Commitment: Leading Paediatric Nursing Excellence (IN-PERSON ONLY)

If you are you a paediatric nurse or nursing leader interested in influencing and advancing practice and children’s health across Canada, this leadership hive is for you!

The Canadian Association of Paediatric Nursing (CAPN) is the national voice for paediatric nurses across the continuum of care. Our mission is to protect and promote the health and well-being of Canadian children, locally and nationally, by advancing the professional specialty of paediatric nursing, through education, learning, and advocacy.

Our vision for CAPN is: Connection, Compassion & Commitment. Leading Paediatric Nursing Excellence. To achieve this vision, our association connects with nurses and health care leaders across our country, to learn from each other and advocate for issues related to both children’s healthcare and paediatric nursing. During the pandemic CAPN advocated for vaccine uptake, safe and inclusive healthcare environments, and timely access to emergency care. We know there are also many other pressing issues that are influencing the landscape of our nursing specialty and look forward to connecting with our colleagues during this leadership hive to brainstorm and prioritize future advocacy efforts.

Please join us in this session as we present our refreshed 2022 Canadian Paediatric Nursing Standards and discuss integration of these standards across healthcare sectors. We will also be hosting our Annual General Meeting after the refreshment break. Delegates with an interest in paediatric nursing are invited to stay with us to learn more about our association.
