“Fast-tracking” into fellowship sparks lively conversations among those passionate about education and our field. Kewchang Lee, the program director for the UCSF Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellowship, will argue in favor of a “fast-track” option. Lisa J. Rosenthal, Chief, Division of Consultation Psychiatry, Fellowship Director, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, and Associate Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs at Northwestern University, will argue against fast-tracking, in an informative debate moderated by Sejal Shah, a former CL program director and the Consultation-Liaison Division Chief and Associate Vice Chair at Brigham and Women’s. This “town hall” style debate will begin with opening statements by our debaters and some initial questions from Dr. Shah. Audience members will be encouraged to submit questions for debate as well, and at the end will vote on their own conclusions about the issue.
