Dr. Nicolo' Schifano, MD, MBBS
San Raffaele Hospital, Milan
Soon after starting medical school in Rome at Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore I decided to choose Urology as my specialty. On July 2015 I
obtained my medical degree with a score of 110/110 cum laude discussing a thesis on the role of partial nephrectomy in pT1b renal cells carcinomas.
On February 2016 I obtained the “Abilitazione alla Professione di Medico-Chirurgo” (e.g. License to practise) in Italy. I entered my Urology Residency
training after a national selection on September 2016, and I spent my first Residency year in the Urology Unit of Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
in Rome. From September 2017 I moved to San Raffaele Hospital in Milan to continue with my Residency program under the guidance of Professor
Montorsi and Professor Salonia. Here I developed a particular interest in Andrology, and I dedicated much of my effort to scientific research in this
field. Since January 2020, I have undertaken a Clinical Research fellowship at University College London Hospital under the guidance of Mr. Asif
Muneer. I am currently finishing my Urology residency program at San Raffaele Hospital, and from November 2021 I will be a specialist in Urology.
