Marissa joined General Mills in 2014 as a Nutrition Scientist in the Bell Institute of Health & Nutrition. In her position, Marissa leads health influencer communications and delivers cutting-edge nutrition science, consumer trends and nutrition messages to health influencers such as dietitians, scientists, and public health experts so they can provide resources and recommendations for their clients and patients.
Marissa is a Minnesota native, completed a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a dietetic internship in Phoenix, AZ. Marissa also obtained working experience in food labeling and weight-loss counseling before completing a master’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Minnesota in 2013.
