Associate Principal Scientist

Daniel Scholes Rosenbloom, PhD is an Associate Principal Scientist in the Department of Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Drug Metabolism in Merck Research Laboratories. He pursued his PhD in Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University and as a visiting student at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute. As a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University Medical Center, he studied computational methods in viral evolution and tumor progression. From 2015 to 2017, he was an Affiliate Investigator at Vitalant Research Institute, developing techniques to assess HIV cure biomarkers. After joining Merck in 2017, Dr. Rosenbloom has focused on antiviral and vaccine programs. He has been a member of ASCPT since 2019, served as Editor-in-Training for CPT:PSP, and currently serves on the Webinar Committee and the CPT:PSP Editorial Board.
