In her role as the Title V Maternal and Child Health / Special Needs Director, Ms. Garneau is responsible to advance RIDOH’s three leading priorities of achieving health equity, addressing social-environmental-economic determinants of health, and ensuring healthcare quality for Rhode Island families including mothers, children, and CYSHCN. In her position, she provides quality assurance, policy direction, contract management, and statewide leadership for programs associated with families, pregnant women, mothers, children, and children with special needs. Ms. Garneau is on the faculty of the Rhode Island LEND program and Brown University School of Public Health. She received a Master in Applied Child and Family Studied from Tufts University, and an undergraduate degree in Special Education from Providence College. Ms. Garneau served as a mental health clinician and administrator with at-risk children and their families prior to state service.
