Giannina Ong is a Birth Justice Program Analyst at AMCHP. Her main focus is supporting Merck for Mother's Safer Childbirth Cities Initiative, a nationwide initiative of 20 grantee cities, and its accompanying Community of Practice. She holds a master’s from the University of Toronto in Women’s and Gender Studies with a specialization in women’s health. Her culminating master’s thesis explored the experience of immigrant women during the postpartum period, and has worked on numerous qualitative projects, designing, implementing, and analyzing data to better understand and empathize with challenging and complex problems.
