Ivy is the State CSHCN Health Coordinator and has worked in the Title V program at the Texas Department of State Health Services for the past 13+ years. Ivy has been part of the Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network (CoIIN) to Advance Care for Children with Medical Complexity (CMC) CoIIN Texas Team since its inception in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University and is a graduate of Partners in Policymaking. Ivy is a partner on several national projects focused on improving the health, quality of life, and well-being for children with chronic conditions and disabilities and their families. She represents CYSHCN and their families on many statewide interagency workgroups. Most importantly, Ivy is mom to two young adults and experiences firsthand the joys and challenges of parenting a child with disabilities. Her daughter, Sophie, has a rare genetic condition called Mowat-Wilson Syndrome and is the spark for Ivy’s dedication to improving family-serving systems.
