Dr. Jones grew up on an acreage on Vancouver Island, Canada. With a strong passion for helping animals and people she started her educational journey by completing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria. She received her DVM from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. From there she joined a small animal practice in Prince George, British Columbia for one year. Her passion for anesthesia and pain management called her back to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine for a 3-year residency in Anesthesia and Analgesia, where she also completed a Master of Veterinary Science. She went on to become an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She is now an anesthesiologist at Summit Veterinary Referral Center in Tacoma, Washington. Patient centered care, pain management and educating others are among her passions in veterinary medicine.
