Peter Dickinson graduated from Liverpool University Veterinary School in 1989. Following 1 year in mixed general practice he completed a 2 year surgery/anesthesia internship at Glasgow University Veterinary School. He received his PhD in developmental neuroscience in 1995, also at Glasgow University, before completing a Neurology/Neurosurgery residency at the University of California, Davis. He has been a Diplomate of the ACVIM Neurology specialty since 2000. He is currently Professor of Neurology/Neurosurgery and Co-chief of Service at UC Davis Veterinary Medical teaching Hospital. Although his primary clinical and research interest has been in the field of neurooncology and genetics he has collaborated with Dr Niels Pedersen over several during the development and application of recent novel antiviral therapeis in both experimental and clinical FIP.
