Lorelei Benham has worked as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) at Shepherd Center for 7 years with both patients with acquired brain injuries as well as those with multiple sclerosis. In this capacity she has worked with patients to teach them critical executive function skills including, but not limited to, scheduling, medication management, problem solving, planning and organization, and increasing insight and awareness into barriers that impede both symptom management and community participation. She has experience in providing therapy services needed for individuals who are returning to work, school, volunteering, and those interested in increasing life participation. Lorelei has run cognitive communication groups focusing on pragmatics, scheduling, MS education, return to school/return to work, and education on a specific home exercise program app for the carry-over of therapy strategies and tasks to home and community.
