Jennifer H. Kahn is an Associate Professor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences. Her teaching emphasis is in the neurologic physical therapy course sequences and clinical reasoning. She serves as Director of the Northwestern University & Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program. She serves as Chair for the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy SCI EDGE Taskforce recommending outcome measures for individuals with SCI. Prior to becoming full-time faculty she worked at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) as a clinical and research physical therapist and continues clinical practice at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly RIC). Her research interests include recovery of gait and balance after spinal cord injury, and psychometric properties of outcome measures.
