Louise Palmer is a research scientist and sociologist in multiple sclerosis (MS) research at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Louise has a health-applied social sciences background with two decades of experience developing, managing, and evaluating domestic and global public health programs and policies including in disability and rehabilitation research. Current areas of research include self-management in MS, racial disparities and inequities, and the role of social determinants of health on MS outcomes. Louise is passionate about using people-centered and empowered research approaches to fully engage people living with MS in the research cycle to design interventions that meet their social, emotional, and wellness needs. Louise is also a member of the iConquerMS Research Committee.
