As Medical Director of Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine at Swedish Cancer Institute Dr Herbert is committed to rehabilitation across the cancer continuum: from shortly following diagnosis to beyond treatment and at all points in between, focusing on prevention of debility and increase in function. She believes in supporting patients to live well, maintain or increase independence, and achieve personalized, patient-centered goals from work to social interactions to recreation. Dr Herbert completed medical school at George Washington University, residency at University of Colorado and cancer rehabilitation fellowship at MD Anderson, and subsequent medical acupuncture training.
