Dr. Wengerd's research is centered largely around identifying and implementing evidence-based interventions to maximize sensorimotor recovery after neurological injury (e.g., stroke, spinal cord injury, etc.). She is especially passionate about translating research findings into clinical practice, and most of her recent work has aimed to improve reporting of rehabilitation interventions to help bridge the gap between research and practice. Dr. Wengerd has a background in business administration and is particularly interested in identifying cost-effective, implementable interventions that fit into current healthcare delivery systems to maximize recovery in adults with neurological injury.
