Prof Ownsworth is a clinical neuropsychologist (BA(Hons), PhD) with extensive experience in psychosocial intervention research for people with acquired brain injury. After completing her PhD in 2001 she was awarded a NHMRC Public Health Post-Doctoral fellowship (2002-2006) and is now a Professor in the School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. She leads the Neuroscience, Ageing and Dementia group of the Menzies Health Institute of Queensland (MHIQ) and is an Executive Editor of Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and a Fellow and Past President of the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment (ASSBI).
