Professor Jennifer Fleming Head of Occupational Therapy in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The University of Queensland, Australia. Her research aims to improve the lives of people with brain impairment by understanding psychosocial and cognitive limitations arising from neurological injury and discovering effective rehabilitation methods. Focus areas are self-awareness impairment, memory rehabilitation, meaningful occupation, goal setting, community participation and the transition from hospital to home. Her work is clinically based, interdisciplinary, translational and disseminated via more than 250 publications and workshops and webinars. Prof Fleming was a chief investigator on the Moving Ahead Centre for Research Excellence in Brain Recovery (2012-2017). She is Co-Editor of the multidisciplinary journal Brain Impairment, and Fellow of the Occupational Therapy Australia Research Academy, American Occupational Therapy Foundation Academy of Research, and the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment.
