Donna Purtee Mann is an occupational therapist and a certified Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She currently serves as interim Dean of the College of Health Science and Public Health at Eastern Washington University where she also holds a position as Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy. She obtained her BSOT and her post-professional doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University and her Master’s in Education from Eastern Washington University. She joined ACLM in 2011 and earned board certification in the inaugural group of 2017. She is a certified facilitator for the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and Group Lifestyle Balance. She is an inductee of Epsilon Eta Chapter of Delta Omega, Public Health Honor Society. She is passionate about spreading the word about disease reversal and prevention by promoting the principles of lifestyle medicine, working to develop the inter-professional lifestyle medicine team and sharing this passion with her students and faculty. Her research is focused on the practice of occupational therapy from a lifestyle medicine perspective from which she has developed the Dynamic HEALT²H Model for NCDs. This model is a useful tool for guiding practice through explanation of the change process and how environment, personal factors, and beliefs interact to start/restart and support this process. She has previously worked in physical rehabilitation in both hospital and out-patient settings, has been a pediatric private practice and home health owner/operator, has served on many university and community committees and has lectured in local, state, regional, and national venues. She enjoys outdoor activities, water sports and family, all of which keep her active.
