Carlos Pineda, MD, PhD
Dr. Pineda graduated from Universidad La Salle in Mexico City.
He completed his medical training in Internal Medicine and rheumatology at Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia Ignacio Chavez and the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.
Trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology at VA Medical Center, San Diego, Ca.
He then trained in musculoskeletal and joint ultrasonography at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Michigan
He has served as President of PANLAR, ILAR, Mexican College of Rheumatology, Mexican Councill of Rheumatology and Coordinator for the PANLAR Ultrasound Study Group.
Dr. Pineda is an author of over 290 publications of which 100 are devoted to the use of ultrasonography in rheumatology.
He is currently General Director of Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitacion, and Professor in the Department of Rheumatology, Facultad Mexicana de Medicina Universidad La Salle, Mexico City
