Raisa is currently an Internal Medicine PGY-3 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), who will be applying for a Rheumatology Fellowship in 2023. Raisa graduated from a Brazilian medical school (Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública), during which time she spent a year at the University d'Auvergne, in France, through a scholarship program. Prior to joining residency, Raisa was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her main research interests are myositis, patient-reported outcomes and online recruitment, systemic lupus erythematosus and health disparities. Raisa is a member of the Conrad Smith Leadership Program and the Clinical Reasoning Curriculum at UPMC.
