Dr. Laura Gough is Professor and Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She earned her B.S. in Biology at Brown University and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology with a minor in Experimental Statistics at Louisiana State University. After a postdoctoral position at the Marine Biological Laboratory, she held faculty positions at the University of Alabama and the University of Texas Arlington before moving to Towson University in 2015. Her research expertise is in plant ecology focused on wetlands and arctic tundra. She serves as Project Director for TU REP (TU Research Enhancement Program) funded by the HHMI Inclusive Excellence program.
