Climate change presents a serious threat and hence challenges to the sustainable growth and survival of this planet. Mitigation, adaptation and resiliency measures are being planned and/or implemented by many countries, which are tailored to respective situations. It is noted that out of various mitigation options, many regions or industries have implemented circular economy actions which have proven to be effective in decarbonization and greenhouse gas reduction.
In this panel, world experts representing various circular economy implementers will share their approach and experiences in respective plans and programs and illustrate the circular economy benefits to economic gain as well as carbon emission reductions. Implementation barriers, challenges and ways of resolution will also be discussed. Examples and case studies will be given by the panelists, for comparison and reference purpose.
Presentations will be followed by interactive discussions among panelists and participants, to stimulate further thoughts on advancing circular economy actions, aiming to help achieving carbon neutrality goals.
