Jordan Haywood is a Senior Key Expert in Environmental Engineering with Siemens Energy in Orlando, dealing primarily with power plant air emissions and acoustical issues. Prior to joining Siemens in 1999, Jordan worked as an air pollution consultant for several years following graduation with a Masters in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1996. Jordan has chaired the Florida Section three times after having served as Vice Chair, Secretary, and Director. Jordan is active in A&WMA International, currently serving on the A&WMA International Board of Directors as President-Elect (2022). Jordan just completed a 6+ year stint as the Group Coordinator of the Industry, Government and Public Sector (IGP) Group of the Technical Council, after having served for over a decade on the Power Generation and Noise Technical Coordinating Committees. Jordan previously served on the A&WMA International Board of Directors for three years (2015-2017), as the Student Committee Chair for the 2011 ACE in Orlando and as the General Conference Chair for the 2012 Florida Section Annual Conference. Jordan spent nearly six years in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator / Electronics Technician, serving on the Guided Missile Cruiser U.S.S. Bainbridge (CGN-25) from 1988 to 1991.
