Arijit Pakrasi, Ph.D., P.E., is the Technical Lead of Air Quality Management Services Practice for Edge Engineering and Science, LLC (EDGE), headquartered in Houston, Texas. As a consultant, he has led numerous projects in air permitting, air quality impact analysis, ambient monitoring, air pollution control technology analysis, process safety management (PSM), risk management plans (RMP), and compliance assurance. He has worked at both corporate and facility levels, especially in the electric generation, chemical/petrochemical, oil & gas, and manufacturing sectors.
Dr. Pakrasi has extensive experience in evaluation, design, and monitoring of air pollution control systems for gaseous, odor, and particulates. He has evaluated fabric filters, wet scrubbers, thermal oxidizers, catalytic oxidizers, and activated carbon systems in several projects in his professional career. He is a member of the Air Pollution Control Technical Committee of the Air & Waste Management Association and has made several presentations on this topic in technical conferences.
