Karie Mulkowsky joined FARE in 2013 to manage a cooperative agreement funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As CDC Project Manager, she oversaw and coordinated the implementation of project objectives and activities that focused on helping schools create policies and practices that supported and improved the health and safety of students with food allergies. In 2016, Karie transitioned to the position of National Programs Sr. Manager. While continuing to work closely with schools, she expanded her role to also include developing and supporting key education and community engagement initiatives. Karie currently oversees the delivery of FARE’s webinar series, provides tailored resources to key constituent groups, manages the annual distribution of grant funding to select volunteers and works closely with support group leaders to steward and support their community-based projects and events. She holds a BA in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Public Health.
