Melissa Marx oversees the management and oversight of the Academy’s emergency medical services (EMS) and lay provider continuing education programs including Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP), Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS), AAP/Health Scholars virtual reality scenarios, Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers and Teachers (PedFACTS), BLAST, and CPR Anytime.
Included within the Academy’s Life Support Initiatives continuum of care portfolio, these programs focus on the initial assessment, stabilization, and management of a critically ill or injured child and are targeted at the EMS/first responder, ED physician, and childcare providers respectively.
