Gastroscopy is the only currently acceptable diagnostic modality for diagnosing EGUS as it allows for a specific evaluation of location and severity of disease thus allowing for the most appropriate treatment for the individual horse. A systematic technique for achieving efficient and complete gastric evaluation with prevention of scope damage as an equal consideration will be presented. Esophageal, duodenal and rectal endoscopic technique will also be covered.
