Cats are not small dogs and, therefore, in addition to classic diseases such as pemphigus or cutaneous lupus erythematosus, feline dermatology also contains unique immune-mediated skin diseases only seen in this species. This lecture will discuss several of these conditions including their characteristic clinical features, which may help with their differentiation from more common and sometimes resembling skin diseases.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize selected autoimmune/immune-mediated skin diseases of cats
Recognize clinical features characteristic of these diseases and list relevant differential diagnoses
Select proper diagnostic procedures to confirm the diagnosis
