What’s new in feline CKD?? This presentation will discuss physiologic disturbances that are commonly associated with feline CKD. The session will highlight updates on medical management of these complications, with special emphasis on factors that may be important for quality of life such as anemia, appetite and hydration.

Consider quality of life in the feline patient and prioritize medical therapies
Perform a detailed nutritional assessment and develop a strategy for counteracting appetite dysregulation in cats with CKD
Understand why anemia is a concerning sequelae of CKD and how it can be addressed
