This presentation will outline the role technicians play in informing pet owners about non-core/lifestyle-dependent vaccines in dogs (specifically CIRDC, leptospirosis, and Lyme disease). This session will cover epidemiology, prevalence, and changes in distribution over time; risk factors, pathogenesis, and clinical signs; diagnostics; and prevention and vaccine protocols. It will also cover how to engage pet owners in conversations relating to vaccination.
