Bringing a new kitten home is an exciting adventure. Unfortunately, caregivers rarely have a good understanding of the kitten’s socialization needs and how to avoid behavioral issues. Caregivers will hopefully reach out to us for help, but are we equipped to provide guidance and answer questions? From litter box use, to sleeping patterns, to carrier training and scratching, we can be prepared to help caregivers set their kittens up for success.

Understand factors impacting kitten behavior including the socialization period
Review basic training principles and how to appropriately apply these during kitten-rearing
Explore targeted training to engage the kitten in learning and targeted training as it applies to preventing problem behaviors
