There are two bacterial diseases of honey bees - American foulbrood (AFB) and European foulbrood (EFB). Despite their names they both have a global distribution and are distinct diseases in terms of pathophysiology, transmission and management. This talk will highlight the information veterinarians need to know to examine, diagnose, and manage these diseases.
